Third pillar of Islam
Zakat al-Maal
Purify your wealth and give those most in need the means to become self-reliant.
What is Zakat al-Maal?
It is the obligatory alms paid each year by a Muslim whose wealth has stayed above the nisab for a full lunar year. It purifies the giver's wealth and brings blessing to the one who receives it.
Not to be confused with Zakat al-Fitr, given at the end of Ramadan.
“Take from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase.”

How we distribute your Zakat
Every situation is reviewed one by one by our local teams, then approved by a committee. Your Zakat goes only to eligible Muslim beneficiaries. If a beneficiary is not eligible for Zakat, their support is funded by our general fund, never by your Zakat.
